It's time to change the engine and gear oil on the Fly 150. The manual recommends "SAE 80W/90 oil that exceeds the requirements of API GL3 specifications". Can I use Motul 75W90 100% Synthetic Gear Oil? I don't know how close the numbers have to match.

Also, should the tool kit included with the bike have all the tools I need to change the oil? What about on my Kymco? I don't know what's needed and know next to nothing about tools

I'm pretty clear on the procedure. However, I want to know if I can use a 75W90 oil when an 80W/90 oil is called for. Anyone?

The lower the first number the easier it flows during cold cranking.

Marco,

Check out: ET4 Gear Box Oil Change I created this thread back when I had the ET4 which has the same engine as the FLY150 I think. I still have a half of a bottle of Tutela ZC 90 which is SAE 80W-90 API GL-3. You can have it if you want it and I can show you how to do it.

Tim
